WiSE has invited Professor Minna Pikkarainen to give a talk about her journey in academia.
Title: Career path as a professor of Digital Health
Minna Pikkarainen is a professor of Digital Health in Chalmers University of Technology. In her WiSE seminar she will tell a story about her career path as a student to Digital Health Professor. Professor Pikkarainen has computer science background and she has been working 23 years in VTT, Technical Research Centre of Finland doing seven years of research exchange path working with research communities in Ireland, Belgium and France ending up first to be business developer supporting healthcare companies growth and access to the international markets and then professor of connected health in between Oulu University and VTT, Technical Research Centre of Finland. As a part of her work career prof Pikkarainen has taken care of the family and five children combining work and family life together.
